Maria & Matthew - Oct 6, 2208, Greek Orthodox Church/Downtown Marriott

WOW! I was thrilled to work with not only Maria and Matthew and their families, but with the wonderful staff of the Marriott and with Uniquely Yours by Pearl. Maria and Matthew's wedding is definitely one of the top favorites of my year. I really felt "Inspired by Nature and Designing with a Passion!" The theme was a elegance! We took months to plan for this and the end result was perfect!
The very beautiful Maria carried a classic, elegant bouquet of white and cream roses, slightly pink antique roses, crystal accented stephanotis and phalaenopsis orchids. Maria's eight attendants carried traditional bouquets of antique cream/pink Safari roses and white and cream roses. The beauty of the Greek Orthodox Church doesn't need much to add to it's impact, but we used silver pew cups filled with white and cream roses and white hydrangea to accent the pews.
The reception at the Marriott was a masterpiece and I am so thankful for all the help from the Marriott staff. For the cocktail hour an Ice Chandelier decorated with flowers on each arm and a pool/pond underneath surrounded with ferns and foliage set a romantic tone for the evening. Eight 8 foot tall trees with small white lights and hanging votive candles graced the entrance to the ballroom and then another eight trees surrounded the bridal table on a raised stage. Blue Steel Lighting added pin spots for the bridal table and washed all the walls of the ballroom in romantic light. Giant swags of white fabric hung from the center of the ballroom to the surrounding ballroom walls giving a tent like feel. A more intimate seating arrangement of white sofas, ottomans and white carpet was placed on one side of the ballroom and added to elegance of the event. For the tables I used a combination of our tall Palace vases which I lighted from beneath and our tallest silver candle albras lighted to compliment the Palace vases. I filled the Palace vases with white hydrangea, ivory roses, white roses, salmon colored roses, safari roses, dendrobium orchids, white lily's alstromeria, gerbera's and white iris. The top of the vases I embellished with the flowers and the indie of the center of the vase held hanging flowers and crystals and flowers dripped from the outside of the arrangements. When everything was was set and lite it took my breath away. I was very proud to see the response of the guests, Maria & Matthew and their families.
This was a great event for me and a team effort. I sincerely thank the Marriott and Pearl for their help. I couldn't be more pleased the Maria and Matthew were happy with their day.
